The Workforce Development Committee has representatives from all five industries that AEM represents. This group will steer all efforts and identify additional needs and opportunities.

Objective

• Raise the awareness of the 5 industry's amongst students, teachers/counselors, parents
• Create trackable programs that attract and increase the number of workers pursuing careers in the industry's
• Create an awareness in the government sector of the need to support technical education

Benefits

• Increased awareness of the industry's of AEM Member companies as a career destination for the future workforce
• Increase the amount of student's entering our industry's workforce
• Provide a greater pool of potential workers to the industry's
• Raise the awareness of the industry's careers amongst teachers, parents and counselors to increase the likelihood they promote such careers to students and/or support students decisions to pursue such a career
• Get technical education back in the classroom so students have an opportunity to match a field with skills they possess
• Provide industry an educated workforce at their disposal
