Educational Programming

Small Business Forum

The challenges of a small business are different challenges than a large business. AEM is proud to announce a new educational program geared to those involved with small enterprises. This inaugural seminar is not just another gathering. It will feature robust educational sessions along with roundtables that will include interaction and networking opportunities for all attendees. It will offer a new way to do business and a way to be successful at it by competing with the “big boys.” Attendees will be able to share ideas and experiences with others in the industry including a number of company presidents who believe in the idea that small enterprises can compete on the same playing field. By attending the Small Business Forum, presented by the Small Enterprise Committee of AEM, attendees will be creating and determining how their company can and will grow.

Some of the topics to be discussed:

  • Global opportunities for small business
  • International marketing strategies to increase international business
  • Trade barriers
  • Resources for small businesses to tap into
  • Setting up joint ventures in other countries
  • Generational change to small business
  • Reducing and controlling costs such as health care to small business
  • Public policies and their impact on small business
