Statistical reporting programs are a key service available to AEM manufacturer members. Market statistics developed in AEM have grown into increasingly important management tools as the data have become more timely, detailed and accurate. As a result, many companies have made this information an integral part of their internal information systems.
Over 175 companies currently report into more than 225 unique product programs, thereby providing market information ranging from county level retail sales information in North America to shipments data on a global basis. AEM data is the most comprehensive, timely and accurate source of market information available to participating manufacturers.
Based on the structure of a particular program, information available to participating companies may include some or all of the following:
- Shipments (units)
- Retail Sales (units)
- Dealer Inventory (units)
- Customer Type and End Use Designation
- County, State/Province, Country & Worldwide data
- Dollar value-Shipments & Retail
The uses and benefits of information available through AEM Statistics programs include:
- Early recognition of market trends
- Ability to calculate your company's market share
- Confidentiality-information is received, processed and stored in a secure location, and is available only to participating manufacturers at the aggregated industry level
- Internet/electronic input and output
- Improved forecasting and production planning capabilities
- Evaluation of dealer and territory performance
Participating members determine the design and scope of all AEM statistical programs, and AEM develops additional programs based on member requests.
