  North American Construction Equipment Revenues Trend Index for July 2008 Now Available
The AEM Construction Equipment Revenues Trend Index charts the overall shipments/retail sales data reported into the association's statistical reporting programs, as a tool to help members better gauge industry activity and assess their own performance. (9/24/2008)

  AEM Economic Indicators Report for September 2008 Now Online
The pace of economic growth continues to slow, but consumer confidence improved moderately. The twelve Federal Reserve Districts reported slower growth in economic activity in the latest edition of the Federal Reserve Beige Book, published in September. Most Districts described business conditions as "weak," "soft," or "subdued." Although the economy is still growing, the pace of growth has slowed over the past 12 months. (9/12/2008)

  September's Econ 101 Report: Tax Extenders: We Need to End the Hostage
We have a hostage situation in Washington. For months, different bills have been floated in Congress to extend expired or expiring tax provisions that are essential to the business community. Yet none of these bills have made significant progress. (9/4/2008)

U.S. Ag Flash Report For July 2008 Now Available
The U.S. Ag Flash Report for July 2008 is now available for viewing. The report compares monthly data from the current and past year of the U.S. unit retail sales of two- and four-wheel drive tractors and self-propelled combines. (8/15/2008)
