AEM hit the road over the past few weeks to visit more than a dozen member company facilities and emphasize the multitude of services that are included in their membership. AEM Membership Services and I Make America, AEM’s national grassroots advocacy campaign, traveled throughout eastern Kansas, the Kansas City Area, and Iowa to meet members in-person--and discuss the value of their membership. AEM offers its members a full spectrum of services to gain comprehensive information, connections and actionable support to make educated and impactful business decisions.
“Meeting with our members at several facilities face-to-face gave us the ability to show them our appreciation, as well as explore some under-utilized features that are a part of their membership,” said AEM’s Vice President of Membership & Sales Paul Flemming. “Some AEM members sign up for our tradeshow services – but we offer so many additional services that are included in their membership that they may not be aware of. The amount of data, learning, and engagement opportunities that we offer is extensive, and we want to make sure that companies are getting the most out of their experience.”
AEM’s full list of service areas include:
- Advocacy
- Business Intelligence
- Education and Events
- Market Share Statistics
- Safety & Product Leadership
- Workforce Solutions
- Trade Shows
One of AEM’s member services in specific, Advocacy, was prominently highlighted during the tour. Several I Make America educational sessions were held throughout the tour, seeking to inform member company employees about grassroots advocacy and to get them involved in advocating for the equipment manufacturing industry. The campaign pulls together a nationwide community of hard-working equipment manufacturing workers and their neighbors, to unite and mobilize on the issues that matter to the 2.3 million men and women of the equipment manufacturing industry.
“I Make America provides equipment manufacturers of all sizes with the information, resources, and tools they need to help AEM advance pro-manufacturing policies,” said AEM’s Director of Grassroots Advocacy Wade Balkonis. “The goal of these facility visits is to build momentum from the ground up through a powerful community of advocates, elevating their voices to decision makers at the state and federal levels.”
AEM visited and presented at the following states and facilities:
- Iowa: ProPulse, a Schieffer Company, Behnke Enterprises Inc., IFP Motion Solutions Inc., XL Specialized Trailers, and Mobile Track Solutions.
- Kansas: AGCO Corporation’s Beloit facility, Broderson Manufacturing Corporation, TVH/Superior Signals, Inc., Bergkamp, Inc., Superior Broom, Eskridge Inc., and Great Plains Manufacturing, Inc.
- Missouri: Custom Truck One Source.
