AEM Talks Member Engagement, Opportunities at Special Event Hosted by Kubota Canada

KubotaMaximizing the benefits of an AEM membership, highlighting the economic outlook of the agriculture and construction industries, and sharing the business challenges facing equipment manufacturers headlined a special AEM member event held this week at Kubota Canada Ltd. In Pickering, Ontario. Led by AEM and Kubota staff, the event included a refresher on AEM member offerings, a market update from new AEM Senior Director of AEM Market Intelligence Al Melhim, a roundtable discussion on how AEM can drive greater value for its members, and much, much more.

"We have so much to offer our members, from value-added benefits and services to insights and information to positively impact their bottom lines,” said AEM Account Success Advisor Paul Malek. “We appreciate Kubota Canada for hosting such a great event today, and we thank our participating members and fellow attendees for joining us to hear more about how AEM builds momentum for our industry.”

During the event, attendees heard from Kubota President Yannick Montagano and participated in a special tour of the Kubota Canada headquarters in Pickering. The facility, which comprises 500,000 square feet of industrial warehouse space and 65,000 square feet of office, meeting, and state-of-the-art training space on three floors, was powered by an $80 million investment from Kubota, which continues to expand its presence in Canada since it was first founded in 1975.

The agenda also included information specifically geared toward Canadian AEM members, including information on Right to Repair, the association’s Canadian Advocate newsletter, and the upcoming Ottawa Hill Day. Finally, Howard Mains from TACTIX presented on priority issues in Canada. 

All AEM’s core services, priorities, and initiatives help AEM work toward achieving four goals associated with its Strategic Plan. They are:

  • Building a positive perception of our industry
  • Accelerating industry growth
  • Supporting and empowering member company decision-making
  • Facilitating members’ customer-facing efforts
