AEM’s communications, public affairs, and public relations teams took home a Best of NAMA Award last week for its campaign in support of the AEM Manufacturing Express public engagement initiative.

The AEM Manufacturing Express tour covered 20 states and made stops at more than 80 equipment manufacturers’ facilities in the Midwest, South, Mid-Atlantic, and states around the Great Lakes in the summer and fall of 2024. AEM’s public relations campaign for the tour was recognized in the “Company or Producer-Funded PR Campaign directed to consumers” during NAMA’s Agri-Marketing Conference, held April 9-11 in Kansas City.

The Best of NAMA Awards program honors the best work in agricultural communications. All Best of NAMA Awards are judged twice – once at a regional level, where they qualify to move onto the national round, and again by industry public relations and marketing experts. AEM’s recognition for the Manufacturing Express initiative marked the first time the association received a Best of NAMA Award in its history. In 2022, the association won a merit award for its public relations campaign in support of the first-ever Celebration of Modern Agriculture on the National Mall

Held yearly, NAMA’s Agri-Marketing Conference serves to provide ag marketer attendees with educational content, fresh ideas, and revamped strategies aimed at helping them navigate the constantly evolving agri-marketing terrain. At this year’s event, NAMA awarded five Best of Show winners in each of the following categories of ag comms excellence:

  • Agricultural Audiences – Advertising
  • Agricultural Audiences – Public Relations
  • Agricultural Audiences – Digital
  • Consumer Audiences (all disciplines)
  • Specialty Audiences (all disciplines)

These five Best of Show winners competed for the Best of NAMA Grand Champion award, which is given to the single-best entry in the Best of NAMA competition.
