AEM President and CEO Megan Tanel has been appointed to the National Association of Manufacturers’ Council of Manufacturing Associations (CMA) Board for 2026, following the CMA Winter Leadership Conference.
The CMA is comprised of over 200 industry-specific manufacturing associations representing 130,000 companies. It works to build partnership and collaboration across the manufacturing industry and larger business community, align strategies to increase manufacturing jobs, and encourage industry investment.
"It's an honor and privilege to join the Council of Manufacturing Associations Board, and I look forward to supporting the organization's work to bring manufacturers together and strengthen our industry," said Tanel.
The CMA’s current priorities align with a number of AEM’s, and engaging with the organization will help to strengthen the manufacturing industry’s unified voice surrounding these priorities. In the coming years, AEM will focus on the strength and value of non-road equipment manufacturing across all of North America.
Tanel’s appointment highlights the non-road equipment manufacturing industry’s impact, supporting 11% of all U.S. manufacturing jobs and contributing $316 billion per year to the U.S. economy.
Tanel is also a member of the select Ag CEO Council. She served as a member of the Milwaukee Women’s Leadership Group, previously served as Chair, and Education Committee Chair, of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), and served on customer advisory boards for the cities of Las Vegas, Louisville, and Orlando.
