HalladaAEM’s Nicole Hallada was elected to the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) Board of Directors for 2025.

IAEE is the largest association of the exhibitions and events industry in the world, with a membership of show organizers, exhibitors, and exhibition suppliers. Organizers of more than 20,000 exhibitions and buyer-seller events around the world are members of IAEE, and the organization advocates and promotes the awareness of face-to-face exhibitions and events as the primary medium for business development and growth. The announcement of Hallada’s election to the IAEE Board of Directors was made this week during Expo! Expo!, IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition 2024 in Los Angeles, California.

“I am honored to be joining IAEE’s Board of Directors and continuing to support the organization as it works to fulfill its mission of promoting the unique value of exhibitions and events, as well as serving as the principal resource for those who plan, produce, and service the industry,” said Hallada, a senior vice president at AEM with responsibility for exhibition management, digital services, operations, trade show education, strategy planning, and marketing for all exhibitions.

The IAEE Board of Directors plays a critical role in setting the direction for the association, ensuring necessary resources are in place for carrying out the mission, values, and vision. The Board establishes IAEE policies and priorities based upon that mission; represents member needs; ensures the financial stability and growth of the association; and promotes the broad exhibitions and events industry. All officers serve a term of one year, except the secretary/treasurer who may hold the office for two years. The directors each serve three years in staggered terms to ensure continuity in the governance of the association.

Hallada joined AEM predecessor CIMA (the Construction Industry Manufacturers Association) in 1997 as a Marketing Coordinator, rising to her current role in 2020. In between, Hallada served in numerous marketing and leadership roles within AEM, including twice as Show Manager of The Utility Expo (formerly ICUEE). Before joining AEM, Hallada served in communications and marketing roles at Aurora Health Care and Metropolitan Marketing Group.

Hallada has also lent her talents to several associations and organizations throughout her career, including TEMPO Milwaukee, Destination Imagination, Project Lead the Way, NASA’s Space Race Competition, and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).

Trusted since 1928, IAEE provides quality and value to its members through leadership, service, education, and strong relationships. For more information, visit www.iaee.com.
