Steelwrist welcomed Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) as part of the grand opening of its new North American headquarters in Newington, Connecticut. Senator Blumenthal joined employees, dealers, customers, and friends and family to celebrate the significant milestone and major expansion of the company’s operations in the United States.
The new 50,000-square-foot facility is not only a testament to Steelwrist’s continued success but also a sign of its future growth potential in North America. With the new facility, which greatly expands the company’s warehousing, distribution, assembly, and training capabilities, Steelwrist is well-positioned to continue to play a leading role in the tiltrotator market and support the needs of its North American dealers and customers.
“This inauguration represents a significant step forward for Steelwrist in North America and with the new facility we can continue our exceptional growth trajectory and even better serve our customers and dealers in the region. It was a pleasure to host Senator Richard Blumenthal and explain the efficiency improvement potential that our products can bring to the U.S. construction industry”, says Stefan Stockhaus, Steelwrist CEO.
Senator Blumenthal toured the new facility, learned about the company’s range of products, spoke with employees, and took in one of the many demonstrations that took place during the half-day event. Steelwrist entered the North American market at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017, and shortly afterwards established its first location in Berlin, Connecticut. The new headquarters, just five minutes from the original site, is more than five times larger, underscoring the company’s rapid growth and commitment to North America.
“Steelwrist is exactly the type of manufacturing company we want in Connecticut — innovative and invested in growing our local economy. I was thrilled to join them and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers for their celebratory ribbon cutting and look forward to supporting their future growth and endeavors,” said Senator Blumenthal.
Senator Blumenthal capped off his visit to Steelwrist by cutting the ribbon and officially inaugurating the company’s new North American headquarters. As reported by the New Britain Herald, the Senator spoke about how the company’s innovative technologies open the way for new jobs and maximize both safety and productivity while helping contractors reduce their environmental footprint. The Senator also remarked how investments in the state’s infrastructure will help Steelwrist continue to expand its manufacturing operations and create more jobs in the Newington area.
“The Association of Equipment Manufacturers greatly appreciate Senator Blumenthal’s unwavering commitment to investing in our nation’s infrastructure and competitiveness and his leadership on bipartisan legislation that will be transformative for America’s future,” said Kip Eideberg, AEM’s senior vice president of government and industry relations. “The historic investments made in roads, highways, bridges, electric girds, water and wastewater systems, ports, and inland waterways are not only improving quality of life for millions of Connecticut residents and creating a generation of family-sustaining jobs, but they are also positioning equipment manufacturers like Steelwrist for continued growth and expansion in the United States.”
