U.S. sales of total Ag tractors dropped 14.8% while sales of combines declined 4.3% in December 2025 compared to the year before. Meanwhile, Canadian sales of Ag tractors were down 13.7%, while combine sales jumped 26.1% in December compared to the year before.

“December’s data is a result of the economic instability and pressures farmers have faced the past months,” said Association of Equipment Manufacturers Senior Vice President Curt Blades. “Throughout this short-term decline in sales, equipment manufacturers remain committed to supporting farmers with the equipment they need. As we look into 2026, AEM remains confident in the industry’s resilience and unique ability to adapt.”

The Ag Tractor and Combine reports can be found on the AEM Market Share Statistics page. The U.S. report can be downloaded from this page, while the Canadian report is available for download here.
