About the AEM Manufacturing Express

Last year, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) hit the road for an unprecedented initiative to tell the story of the U.S. equipment manufacturing industry and celebrate the 2.3 million men and women who help build, power, and feed the world. The “AEM Manufacturing Express” made over 80 stops at equipment manufacturing facilities across 20 states and hosted over 100 lawmakers.

This August, the AEM Manufacturing Express will be heading to Texas, the equipment manufacturing capital of the country. Texas supports 345,000 equipment manufacturing jobs, and the state’s equipment manufacturing industry adds $49.5 billion to the U.S. GDP annually. This year’s tour will continue to facilitate meaningful discussions on AEM’s policy priorities, with a particular focus on policies that will strengthen the equipment manufacturing workforce.
