John Deere
Joe is the manager of product safety standards in the Intelligent Solutions Group at John Deere. In this role, he is responsible for leading product safety standards strategy, development, and implementation related to new technologies. Joe specializes in safety standardization for non-road mobile equipment, and his work includes agricultural, construction, forestry, and roadbuilding sectors. Joe has worked in agricultural machinery safety standards for 15+ years as a part of his overall 20+ years of experience working in standards organizations. A 15-year-member of ASABE, Joe has served as member and leader on many ASABE committees within Machinery Systems, and Ergonomics, Safety, and Health technical communities and currently is the chair of MS23/19 & US TAG ISO TC23/SC19 Agricultural Electronics. Joe has been extremely involved in numerous ISO technical committees as a member and has joined as an observer on many more. Joe currently is serving as the ISO TC23/SC19/WG8 convener and ISO TC23/SC19/JWG12 convener. He is also a member of the International Electrotechnical Commission and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Joe has been an AEM member for 15+years, serving as a member on many various committees and councils including the Autonomous Machine Coordinating Committee and is currently the chair of the Technical Innovation Committee.
