Objective
Our mission is to advance safety and innovation knowledge-sharing within the specialized on-road heavy equipment industry.
Responsibilities
- From a holistic perspective, identify product-specific challenges and areas of need.
- Formulate solutions and/or determine means by which to address those challenges.
- Employ and direct relevant AEM service teams and/or committees (or establish sub-committees/task forces) to take action on those solutions.

Through proactive research, advocacy, and knowledge-sharing, our committee strives to create a safer, more efficient, and technologically progressive industry that supports sustainable growth and operational excellence.

Promoting best practices in safety to protect operators, the public, and the environment.
- Monitoring and evaluating emerging technologies that shape the future of heavy equipment operations.
- Encouraging collaboration among industry leaders, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure responsible adoption of new trends.
- Providing guidance and education that empowers organizations to meet evolving standards and challenges.
Leadership
- The Chair & Vice Chair are elected by the Group and serve a two-year term.
Composition
Executive-level committee of AEM member manufacturers concerned with issues surrounding On-Road equipment. This group will set the direction for the AEM staff liaison to lead a coordinated effort among AEM staff and related committees to identify and address the legislative, standards, regulatory, PR and other needs related to On-Road equipment manufacturers.
Meetings
- At least one face-to-face meeting annually preferred, if possible, in conjunction with other industry events.
- Conference calls to be scheduled as needed.
